Frequently asked Questions
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be beneficial if you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or other personal struggles. If you’re unsure, scheduling an initial consultation can help determine if therapy is a good fit.

What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session will involve discussing your concerns, goals, and background. The therapist will gather information to better understand your situation and outline a potential treatment plan.
What should I know before my first appointment?
Before your first appointment, make sure all your documents are signed in your client portal and any insurance cards are uploaded. If you have any further questions you can contact our secretary!
What should I expect when I first arrive?
Breakthrough has a virtual front desk, this means that when you will come to the office, there is no need to check in with a front desk! Just take a seat in the waiting room and your therapist will come out to greet you. If you are waiting several minutes after your appointment time, don’t hesitate to give the main office line a call or text to confirm your appointment!

Do you accept insurance?
Currently Breakthrough accepts United Healthcare, BCBS, PEHP, SelectHealth, SelectHealth Medicaid, certain U of U Health Plans, and EMI

We also work through other entities such as bishop pay and other private third party payers

What are your fees?
Self Pay rates range from $90-$180 per session based on which clinician you see!
*Unless another rate is otherwise contracted
**Any court ordered therapy needs to be contracted on a case by case basis prior to initial visit

What is okay to bring to sessions?
We don’t want this time to bring about any unnecessary stress so you are welcome to bring babies and children if you need to (most of our clinicians have games, toys, and coloring books). We just ask you be mindful of other clients when out in the waiting room with your children and maintain a respectful volume level.

You are also welcome to bring water or a drink, a blanket, pillow, notepad, or anything else that will make you comfortable!
